Our opening hours are 7.30am to 4.30pm every day. We are closed Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Good Friday.
It is better to bring your pet in early in the day so they have more time to settle in before night time.
During the Christmas, New Year and Easter periods we operate at peak occupancy.
Reduced opening hours allow us to focus on the care of our four legged friends.

What time do you feed the guests?
Canine guests are fed their main meal in the morning. We also serve an evening meal for dogs that require two meals a day.
Cats are fed morning and evening meals.
What do I need to bring for my pet?
We will need to sight your current vaccination certificate.
For the comfort and safety of all, please bring your dog on a lead and your cat in a carry cage.
Remember to bring any medication your pet is on.
Can I bring my pet's own diet?
If your pet is on a special diet we are more than happy to feed it from supplies you bring with you.
Can I bring my dog's coat?
We are happy to take dogs coats. Please ensure they are clearly and permanently labelled.
Can I bring my pet's favourite toys and bedding?
To make your pet feel more at home we allow 1 toy and 1 piece of bedding to accompany your cat or dog. Please make sure that they are named.
Your pet's extra special toy should be left at home, as it will be a pleasant surprise for them on returning.
What happens if my pet gets sick?
We prefer to use your own vet, as they know your pet best. If it is an emergency or distance becomes an issue we have access to a 24 hour vet hospital and our vet can communicate with yours if necessary. There is also a 24 hour Animal Emergency Centre nearby.
My dog is very friendly. Can he board with a friend?
Normally we board dogs individually. We can only mix two dogs from different families if the owners consent and the two dogs are compatible. This is due to Victorian State Government boarding regulations.
The major infectious diseases of dogs and cats are distressing for both pets and their owners. They may cause death and suffering.
Vaccinating your pet is better than attempting to treat these diseases. Vaccination is the best all-round protection and must be given every year, for life.
Dogs need to have had a C5 vaccination. This includes both types of Canine Cough or Kennel Cough.
Cats must have the annual F3 vaccination.
What is Canine Cough?
Canine or Kennel Cough is one of the most common respiratory illnesses in dogs. It is very similar to the common cold in humans. Any one of a variety of different germs can cause it. It is very contagious and in the vast majority of cases relatively harmless.
Dogs can become infected with Canine Cough wherever they gather, such as in parks, obedience classes, dog shows, vet surgeries or kennels. They can even contact it if they are at home.
At Berwick Boarding Kennels & Cattery you can pick up you pet until midday with no charge for that day. After midday you will be charged your normal rate for that day.
Our opening hours are 7.30 am until 4.30 pm. We are closed some Public Holidays.
What should I do when I take my pet home?
Allow your pet to find that "at home" feeling again before letting them out of the house. Just as your pet had to adjust to us, so will it have to adjust to being home again.
Your dog will be very excited to see you. (They do not have a sense of time - 5 minutes or 5 days - there is no difference).
After the initial excitement your dog may sleep for some time. Like you, pets can come home from their holiday tired.
We suggest that your pet not be fed for a few hours (even though the pet acts hungry) and do not overfeed it.
What rules do you have to follow?
We are inspected every year by the City of Casey to make sure we comply with the Code of Practice for Boarding Establishments for Victoria. Victoria has the strictest code in Australia.
We also comply with the voluntary code for the trade associations we belong to. These are the Pet Industry Association of Australia and the American Boarding Kennels Association.
